Vibrations help slim abdomen? Do you think that if I shake for 15 minutes a day, it is the same effect?
Hey all - so this story just came out today (read story below) - it was in all the papers. Do you think that I can just shake my body for 15 minutes a day- I dont have a vibrating floor... what do you all think?? How should I shake my body? Do I have to do it for 15 minutes straight or can i break it up?? Has anyone ever tried this? All feedback will be appreciated! "A Maine researcher says standing on a vibrating platform for 15 minutes a day could help people achieve washboard abs. Clifford Rosen from The Jackson Laboratory and Maine Medical Center Research Institute says his study put mice on a vibrating platform for 15 minutes a day for 15 weeks. He says the mice developed 27 percent fewer abdominal fat cells and saw other benefits, including reduced triglycerides in the liver. The mice didn't lose weight but Rosen says it appears that the vibrations changed fat distribution in a beneficial way." http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071023/ap_on_he_me/vibrations_fat

- look at Shakira and u will know the answer urself !
- Extra! Extra! Read all about it.... Pinball Wizard in a Miracle Cure. Interesting, but what about other side effects? People will do anything to avoid putting down the fork and going out for a jog.
- For this the crunches are the best. Getting good abs is very easy by doings crunches. So do it if you need weight lose all over the body then try doing other exercises. Do not try this for you it can jar your bones loose.
- Clifford Rosen is an idiot and there is no science behind his theory. If there was any validity to his theory every construction worker in the world that operates a jack-hammer would have a 6-pack. fat is stored energy. one of the basic laws in physics is called the Law of Conservation of Energy which states that energy can never be created or destroyed. in terms of fat loss the only way for stored fats in the body to be removed is for them to be transformed into heat energy when fatty acids are oxidized by mitochondria.
