what causes triglycerides to increase in blood and how to control?

I have a genitic problem, my lipidis are increasing even if i take fat free diet. what to do

  1. If it is a genetic problem there is probably nothing you can do about it. Your doctor can prescribe medication that can bring it down to where it should be. Beside what you eat, make sure you get enough exercise. That helps to bring triglycerides down. Also watch your refined carbs. Cut down on those. This is the advice my doctor gave me. When that didn't work he put me on Lipitor, 40mg. It works great. My total cholesterol is now 143. Good Luck.
