- As a healthcare provider I commend you on your heatlhy lifestyle. A certain portion of lipids are attributed to your genes. This part can only be controlled with the use of medications. Such medications are Lopid,Tricor, and a few more. They work well and I encourage you to see your provider about initiating their use.
- Nuts are high in triglycerides so watch your amounts. So are sweets, anything with sugar. It may be a genetic problem in which your body is making too much. You could try Fish oil capsules 1gm per day and or Niacin tablets, start at 500mg per day and go up to 1500mg. It may cause some flushing. If so, take an aspirin 30 minutes before the Niacin.
- u must be eating too many oils and fats.. like from chips.. or french fries or something look carefully at your diet and figure out where u are getting all the fats from oh btw .. if they are wayy too high.. your doctor would have prescribed some medication for u anyways.. look online for heart healthy recipes and such.. use olive oil rather than normal oil
- My doctor has me on Lovastatin. It is curious that you have elevated triglycerides being a vegetarian. They say red wine can work too.
