Will the quality of blood change after donating blood..like say triglycerides level etc.?

- donate evry 3 months then no probs at all!
- No. Lets say you have high triglycerides. Whether you rid yourself of some of that blood thru donation still leaves the rest of your blood with a high triglyceride count. Your body will compensate, like it constantly does, by making new blood for you. That new blood will have the same properties as the old. Why? Because high triglycerides happen on a cellular level. If your body is unhealthy and making too many triglycerides it will continue make them in the new blood. The only way to lower this problem is by diet and exercise, or at least diet.
- No not really. Thats why it is no sooner than 3 months you should donate some. If you would donate i.e. twice a week every week then blood quality would be the last of a series of problems you would face.
- No it wont effect the quality of you blood at all. It builds up again with no troubles..I donate blood every 3 months because it is benificial to alot of people who need it..
- Donating will not help your triglycerides or cholesterol level, but it will improve the quality of the blood cells inadvertently. Your kidneys keep constant watch over the number of red blood corpustles (RBC's) I mean they actually count eveyone. When they detect a drop in the level, they produce erythropoetin and new ones are made. Therefore, by donating your old ones, you get a unit or two of fresh new ones.
