what is good for lowering triglycerides?
Public Comments
- garlic
- exercise would be one, proper diet and discipline... medications would be optional and cutting down on rich in triglyceride foods
- Cutting high fat foods out of your diet -- cheese, nuts, fried food, fast food, excess butter, oils, cream sauces, etc.
- Avoiding animal fats is your best option. At the very least, eat lean cuts of meat. Oat bran is excellent in lowering triglycerides also. Cheerios, whole grain breads, and plenty of vegetables cooked in water or canola oil are your best bets..Do not use solidified fats such as shortening and avoid fast food burgers. Avoiding fried foods is a good rule of thumb..You can also look at the American Heart Association website for further suggestions. Good Luck!
- According to Jean Carper in Miracle Cures, Fish oil supplements work as well or better than any drugs.
- the number one way my husband lowered his trygliceride count was to cut back on the bread. try that and see how that works for you and if your tryglicerides did not go down enough then you will have to get a list from your doctor on what you need to cut back on, i hope the simple way works for you.
- definitely garlic
- healthy diet. reduce mono-saturated fats.reduce collateral.get regular exercise, ask doctor if medication is recommended or proper diet exercise will do it.
