- Eat: oatmeal brown rice apples grapes beans onions/garlic stanol or sterol margarines bison chocolate (dark) Never eat: liver butter poultry skin dark meat margarine w/ trans fat lamb frankfurters whole milk products coconut eggs (yolks) unfiltered coffee
- Worry about triglycerides and ignore cholesterol/ It is a fact that cholesterol has NO CONNECTION to heart health. Patients have more heart problems from statin drugs than cholesterol. Cholesterol is a myth worth billions.
- Nuts can lower LDL cholesterol... about 50-100mg a day, such as almonds. 25g of soya a day can also help. Avoid stuff high in cholesterol. Depending on how high it is perhaps you should consider taking a statin, ask your doctor. For God's sake, go peddle your garbage elsewhere, the people (probably just one person with different Yahoo names) above me - given that 2 of them refer to the same "source".
- Listen ; there is known proof that food is only 15% of your cholestreol problem so if your worried about your LDL you need to maintain this high LDL with the assistence of a good Doc,get a good book on this and study study study."knowledge is power" do you even know what are triglycerides and what they do for ya?
