Wow.. I don't know if I should cry or just jump off a building.. hehe Just kidding on the jumping part :-). But I've had bad luck this year :-(. First a lump in my neck labeled as being a "Warthin's Tumor". Which added to my stress, Which lead to high blood pressure (Hypotension) Took water pills for the hypotension, Which lead to dangerously low Potassium levels (In the 1 range).. Dropped water pills and took potassium pills.. Which lead to 2 cancelations of my surgery.. (low potassium) Potassium pills finally kicked in and surgery was a go. Surgery complete.. No tumor.. Don't have paper in front of me.. But it was basically and over worked gland. Ok.. Surgery over... Follow up with family doctor.. Blood pressures ok and potassium is ok.. Lets do nothing for 3 months.. OK... 3 Months later.. Blood pressures still in check as along with everything.. See me again in 3 months.. Go get blood work done... Day of office visit.. .. (continued) Blood pressure checked.. 123/82... Yippie!!! Best blood pressure reading yet!.. Laughs at nurse and says.. "whew no pills for me".. She smiles and say the doctor will discuss this with you when she comes in... She leaves doctor enters with a bombshell! Triglycerides are 891!! Normal is 30-190! Tells me to take Tricor or 4 weeks and see what happens..? I am worried because my diet hasn't changed and all this was tested before.. What would make that jump that high.. and what's the best to lower it besides meds? Glucose was high too.. 146 And LDL was 28? Does that mean I am getting diabetes? Im so confused.. Has anyone had triglycerides that high?? And I fasted 12 hours before the blood test.
