my cholesterol is 289 and supposed to be 125 and my triglycerides are 721 and supposed to be 150?
I am at risk for a stoke and heart attach,I am only 37 yrs old.What are some bad foos that I should stay away from and what are the good ones I should be eating.Will a tread mill help me?

- Check with your family, because if it is in the family, your body is going to produce the extra cholesterol and triglyrerides regarless. In that case, medicine will help to reduced the amount. If is not in the family, a healthy diet, veggies, fruits, protein (lean, not fat) will help. Stay away from fatty meals, no fast food!!! limit dairy products and if you do consume them choose non fat. In addition, treadmill and exercise will help to reduce or mantain the good levels to prevent heart attack and strokes. This helps both the familial hyperlipidaemia, or the non familial one. Hope it helps!!!
