Why do triglycerides store energy more efficiently than glycogen?
Public Comments
- It is more reduced carbon, so it is higher energy, and being hydrophobic, they can be compacted much more efficiently than the polar glycogen.
- I'd love to know the answer to this too since nobody seems to be able to explain it to me. If I'm not mistaken triglycerides are fat while glycogen is sugar.
