Triglycerides

Have lowered your triglycerides level using omega 3 products?

If so, can you briefly share your experience?

  1. Lowered mine taking 500mg slo-niacin once per day along with 1000mg fish oil twice each day. With the slo-niacin my doctor recommended I also take one 325mg regular aspirin 30 minutes before because some people experience a 'flushing' of their skin, which is not harmful, but uncomfortable. Took about 6 months to get me down into the range for triglycerides.
  2. Omega 3 is just a small part of an overall comprehensive plan that includes a low calorie, high nutrient diet (natural foods) and lots of daily activity. Since adopting this basic philosophy, my numbers went from off the scale to within normal range in less than six months. It also was instrumental in helping me to get completely off the diabetes medication.
